The Abomination of Desolation in The Holy Place

In the 24th chapter of Matthew Jesus tells of the events to come “at the end of the age,” and in verses 15 and 21 He warns: “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (who so readeth, let him under­stand) ; . . . For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” In the 13th chapter of Mark this passage is rendered: “When ye shall see the abomination of desolation . . . standing where it ought not.
